Expertise
What these credentials let me do for you.
A list of certifications tells you what somebody sat an exam in. It does not tell you what they can do with it. So this page is organised the other way round: seven capabilities an engagement actually draws on, and the credentials that underwrite each one.
Every credential named below links to its own verification page, so none of this has to be taken on trust.
01 / Measurement
Proving a process actually improved
Any claim that work got faster or cleaner has to be measured against what it was before. This is the method behind that: establishing where the time really goes, where variation enters, and which step produces the defect that shows up three steps later. It is also the reason I map a process before building anything for it. Without a baseline, "it feels quicker" is the only review you can give.

Six Sigma Black Belt
Management and Strategy InstituteDMAIC, root-cause analysis and variation reduction — the discipline for finding the real cause rather than the loudest symptom, and for proving a change worked. MSI is a CPD-accredited training provider and a member of the International Association of Training Providers. It is not accredited by ANSI/ANAB, which accredits some other Six Sigma certifying bodies.

Google Project Management Certificate
Google, via CourseraScoping, risk management, stakeholder management and process improvement across both traditional and agile delivery. Roughly 152 hours of assessed work, evaluated by the American Council on Education for nine college credits. This is what keeps an engagement to a written scope instead of drifting.
02 / Data
Making data from disagreeing systems trustworthy
Reconciliation and reporting work fails on data quality long before it fails on logic. Two files that describe the same thing with different column names, different sort orders and different spellings of the same record cannot be compared until something normalises them. This is the grounding for the cleanup rules a tool applies: how to match records that do not match cleanly, what to do with the ones that still will not, and how to present a result so the reader draws the correct conclusion rather than a plausible one.
-
Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate
Google, via CourseraSQL, R, spreadsheet analysis, data cleaning, aggregation, visualisation and data ethics. Roughly 187 hours of assessed work, evaluated by the American Council on Education for twelve college credits. The analysis and presentation half of every reporting deliverable.

Key Technology Foundations Specialization
IBM, via CourseraCloud computing, data science and artificial intelligence covered together, including where each one is genuinely the right answer and where it is being sold as one. Useful for telling a client when they do not need the platform they are being pitched.
-
IBM, via Coursera
Foundational grounding in what data science and machine learning actually do, which mostly matters for setting expectations honestly about what automation can and cannot decide.
03 / Security
Knowing what moving data somewhere actually exposes
Building tools that run offline is a security decision, and it only counts as one if it is made deliberately. Understanding what a hosted service exposes — where the data sits, who can reach it, what the provider can see, what a breach on their side means for you — is what makes "no cloud service in the path" a design principle rather than a slogan.
It also means I can read a security proposal and tell you which parts address a real risk in your business and which parts address a risk the vendor has a product for.

04 / Sizing
Sizing infrastructure for the business you actually are
Small and mid-sized businesses get quoted architecture built for companies ten times their size, because that is the configuration the vendor's reference design assumes. Knowing the small-business portfolios specifically — not the enterprise line with items removed — is what lets me say what a thirty-person company genuinely needs, and what it is being sold because the quote template included it.

05 / Procurement
Reading a quote the way the vendor built it
Quotes are constructed, not calculated. Discount structures, bundled line items, promotional pricing that lapses at renewal, consumption models that look cheaper in year one — all of it is assembled on purpose and to a logic the buyer is not shown.
These are vendor sales and renewals certifications, which is exactly why they are useful here: the training covers the same pricing logic, framing and renewal mechanics that get used on you. Sitting on the other side of that conversation for over a decade is the rest of it.

Cisco · 60-minute proctored exam
Renewal and lifecycle mechanics: how a renewal is priced, what drives the increase, and where the leverage sits before a contract rolls over rather than after.
06 / Adoption
Building something your team will still be using in a year
A tool nobody opens is a failed project regardless of how well it works. Adoption stalls for reasons that have nothing to do with the software: nobody was trained on the reasoning, the old method still works well enough, it is faster to ask the person who knows, or the first unusual case broke confidence in it.
This is the formal side of that problem — identifying adoption barriers, reading usage signals, and the distinction between delivered and actually adopted. It is why handover includes validating the tool against known cases with your team watching, rather than sending a file and an invoice.

07 / Lifecycle
Answering what happens to the kit coming out
Refresh decisions always produce a second question nobody budgeted for: what do we do with the equipment being replaced. Takeback programmes, reuse and resale routes, certified disposal and the documentation an auditor or a customer might ask for are all part of the same decision, and they affect the real cost of the refresh.

Two further credentials are held but do not bear directly on the consulting work, listed here for completeness rather than left out:
- Webex Insider User Group — Cisco. Admission by application to a practitioner programme for product research and advocacy.
- HPE Digital Marketing Accredited — Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Fifteen hours of coursework and two assessments. Expired.
All credentials issued through Cisco, Google, IBM and Hewlett Packard Enterprise are recorded on my public Credly profile, which is the authoritative source. Where a credential has lapsed, it says so above. None of these companies endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with my consulting practice.
